ZamZam Bank has successfully concluded the IFB Pioneers Forum, organized in collaboration with FSD Ethiopia as part of the Bank’s 5th anniversary celebrations.
Held today at the Skylight Hotel, Addis Ababa, the forum brought together representatives from the National Bank of Ethiopia, more than 200 banking executives, policymakers, Shariah advisors, customers, and other key stakeholders* to explore the development and future of Interest-Free Banking in Ethiopia.
The forum opened with a welcome address by Mrs. Melika Bedri, Chief Executive Officer of ZamZam Bank, followed by remarks from Dr. Nasser Dino, Chairperson of the Board of Directors, who highlighted the importance of continued dialogue and collaboration in advancing the Interest-Free Banking industry.
The forum also highlighted ZamZam Bank’s five-year journey and key achievements*, particularly its contribution to the development of Interest-Free Banking and financial inclusion in Ethiopia.
A key highlight of the event was the panel discussion, which brought together experienced banking executives, capital market representatives, and financial technology leaders to discuss the current landscape, challenges, opportunities, innovation, and future direction of Interest-Free Banking in Ethiopia*.
The forum reaffirmed the importance of collaboration, innovation, technology, and inclusive financial solutions in shaping the future of Ethiopia’s financial ecosystem.
